As part of the ongoing Football Development Plan and expansion of our junior sides the newly formed Sutton United U9's Colts are looking for new players for season 2011/12. There are currently player vacancies for boys of good standard starting school year 4 in Sept 2011.

Girls, are you interested in playing football ?
On Saturday 25th June Sutton United in conjunction with the local Little Leagues are holding an open girls’ football day which will include trials for new under 10 and under 11 Girls’ teams for the 2011-2012 Season.
All girls up to the age of 16 interested in football are invited to attend and there will be lots of football related events going on, including a girls’ exhibition match, penalty shoot-out competition and a 2 v 2 skills cage. So girls come along and give it a go!

Would you like to play football in a junior team for the newly crowned Ryman Premier Champions!? We are pleased to announce open trials for new players/teams to play 7-aside mini football and newly introduced 9-a-side for this coming season 2011/12. Our teams currently play in the Epsom & Ewell League (Saturdays) and Surrey Youth League (Sundays).
The sessions will be held on the main pitch of Sutton Utd FC by managers/coaching staff. Players from U9 - U11 should be of a reasonable standard and preferably already playing either youth league or Little League level.
U7’s - School Year 2 in Sept 2011 (10.00am - 12.00pm)
U8’s - School Year 3 in Sept 2011 (12.00pm - 2.00pm)
U9’s - School Year 4 in Sept 2011 (10.00am - 12.00pm)
U10’s - School Year 5 in Sept 2011 (12.00pm - 2.00pm)
U11’s - School Year 6 in Sept 2011 (12.00pm - 2.00pm)
Having recently achieved FA Community Standard our junior coaches have attained the minimum FA Coaching Certificate Level 1 or Level 2. Our 7-a-side games are played at Sutton Cricket Club, Cheam Village on arguably the best pitches in the area, with the 11 a side teams playing at Collingwood Rec adjacent to Sutton Utd’s main stadium.

Sutton United Awarded 'FA Charter Standard Community Club' Status |

Following the preliminary indication from Surrey FA last summer, we received the following confirmation from the Football Association.
"We are pleased to inform you that Sutton United FC has achieved The FA Charter Standard Community Club status on 07 Feb 2011.
You will receive your certificate and a covering letter shortly.

Congratulations to everybody involved in securing this achievement. Nobody should underestimate the work that had to go into this.

Sutton Utd require an assistant coach for the U14 team who play on Sundays in the Tandridge League 'A' Division. Training is at Nonsuch Girls School, Cheam, Surrey on Thursday evenings.
Sutton Utd U14's are also looking for Defenders of SYL (Prem Elite) / Tandridge A Division standard.

We are looking for volunteers to help with building up our women's and girls' section, both in terms of coaching and potentially as a team manager. Anyone joining the team in these roles will also have an opportunity to further their coaching qualifications. We are also looking for volunteers to join a steering group to organise an and-of-season football festival for junior boys and girls. Another specific post to be filled is as Press Officer for SUFC Juniors. This will entail collating results from all the junior sides and preparing reports and news items for these sides the first team programme and web-site.

The boys were presented with their trophy/shield and medals at Imber Court as champions of the Surrey Youth League (U9 Premier Elite Division). This was the boys first season of competitive football at U9, having led the Premier Elite league since Christmas they then went on an 8 match winning run......ending in a 2-1 win over Aldershot Town in their final match to secure the title. With the Premier Elite being considered the strongest division in Surrey, the club have a great group of players in the making. Don't forget to checkout the team pages for reports and photos and follow the boys as they move up to U10's next season under manager Kevin Howard.

Girls Capture league and Cup Double to end amazing season.

Congratulations to the Girls U10 team who's excellent season left them unbeaten and winners of league and cup double. Under the guidance of Coach Donna Williams the girls won the Surrey County Girls Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Barnes FC. Leaving them with incredible leagues stats of:
Played 20 Won 19, Drew 1, Lost 0. Goals For 97, Goals against 2.
That was not enough for the Girls who added the Surrey County Cup by defeating arch rivals Croydon Borough Girls FC 3-0 in the Final at Chipstead on 16th May.
