Purpose of Job
- To promote a co-ordinated approach to coaching throughout the club
- To develop a comprehensive coaching programme for the whole Club
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact at the club for coaching
- Be the contact at the club for all club coaches
- Have a clear understanding of the FA coaching structure and available courses
- Actively promote all FA coaching courses
- Identify club coaching needs and liaise with the Surrey FA in order to match needs with provison.
- To be part of the Football Plan Development Team and to liaise with team members in order to achieve a co-ordinated approach to the coach development programme.
- To report regularly to the FDP Officer on the progress of the programme.
- To ensure that the Club’s Coach Recruitment Policy is adhered to and to introduce such new recording systems as may be necessary.
- To liaise with all appropriate club officials to ensure that all coaches are appropriately checked, interviewed and inducted.
- To develop connections with appropriate agencies and other bodies in order to achieve the targets of the FDP
- Ensure that all opportunities for free or discounted coaching courses are taken advantage of and attended as appropriate
- Encourage the development of high quality facilities
- Identify Coaches from within the club to work in local schools
- To research and access potential funding for coaching and coaches
- To manage the changing culture of coaching/coaches within the club
