As part of our vision we are looking to re-introduce football pitches back into Collingwood Recreation ground and over the next 5 years increase the number of teams we have from the current 17 to 38 by season 2014/15. Our current number of Male teams will expand to 25 from its current 16 and our Female football teams will expand to 11 from its current very successful Under 10's and will allow for progression all the way up to senior level. As part of our commitment to community football at all levels and for all abilities we also plan to introduce 2 teams for those with disabilities, a under 16's along with an adult side.
Part of the plan entails replacing the current North Stand (the one running alongside the Rec) with a dual purpose Park Pavilion and Football Stand within the confines of our ground. This will provide the very latest in facilities to compliment the new park pitches and re-introduction of football to Collingwood Recreation ground.
Year one of the plan will see us introduce 4 more male teams and 2 additional female sides and you will be able to follow the progress of both the expansion on the playing front as well as the facility development. It is planned to give each and every team its own profile page.
