FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR OFFICER
Purpose of Job
To assist in the recruitment of new volunteers at every level of the Club and to develop and deliver a specific programme of recruitment to cover all aspects of the Club.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To develop connections with appropriate agencies and other bodies in order to achieve the targets of the FDP.
- To liaise with all appropriate club officials to ensure that all volunteers are appropriately checked, interviewed and inducted.
- To be part of the Football Plan Development Team and to liaise with team members in order to achieve a co-ordinated approach to the volunteer recruitment programme.
- To report regularly to the FDP Officer on the progress of the programme.
- To ensure that the Club’s Volunteer Recruitment Policy is adhered to and to introduce such new recording systems as may be necessary.
- In accordance with the VRP to ensure that each volunteer has brief description of their role and responsibilities.
To develop and be responsible for the Volunteer Training Programme in conjunction with others members of the FDP Team.
To develop and maintain a culture of reward and acknowledgement within the Club of the work done by volunteers.
In connection with the above to arrange an annual event to officially acknowledge all volunteers at the Club.
To develop a Volunteers week early in each season to be the catalyst for a recruitment drive.
To liaise with the Women’s and Girls’ Co-ordinator with the aim of recruiting more female volunteers.
The post will be directly responsible to the FDP Officer and will be part of the FDP Team as indicated below.
