FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
WOMEN AND GIRLS' FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Purpose of Job
- To raise the profile of women and girl’s football within the Club.
- To develop and deliver a specific programme of women and girls’ football development in line with the targets contained in the Football Development Plan.
- To be part of the Football Plan Development Team and to liaise with team members in order to achieve a co-ordinated approach to the women and girls’ development programme.
- To report regularly to the FDP Officer on the progress of the programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To recruit new female players through general promotion and our partnerships with schools and the West Sutton Little League and by advertising.
- To recruit for managers, coaches and support staff to run and maintain teams.
- Specifically to target the development of women coaches within the Club to manage the female teams.
- To liaise with the Coaching Co-ordinator to ensure appropriate training of women coaches in line with the FDP targets.
- To be responsible for the promotion of women’s and girls’ football within the Club and to liaise with the Volunteer Co-ordinator in order to recruit more female volunteers.
- To be responsible for arranging one female targeted event per year at the Club.
- To work with the School’s Co-ordinator to ensure that opportunities are available for all abilities to play football at the Club.
- The job will also involve working strategically with key agencies e.g. County Sports Partnerships, Local Authorities, Local Education Authorities, schools, local leagues and clubs.
- The post will be directly responsible to the FDP Officer and will be part of the FDP Team as indicated below.
