Sutton United FC is proud to be associated with football in the local community.  The FREE week long event run by The Cheam Safer Neighbourhood Team is now in its 3rd year and offers 6-11 yr olds a chance to tone up their skills with the aid of professional coaching.

28th - 1st August 2008 saw the 3rd Cheam Community Football Week take place in Cheam Park with local sponsorship by Smith and Byford and Sainsbury's Local with help from Sutton United Football Club.

This event run by the Cheam Safer Neighbourhood Team Sutton Police again proved a great success with 200 local boys and girls aged 6 - 11 years old learning new football skills coached by F.A qualified coaches from the Cheam Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The children were handed free tickets for the Sutton United friendly with AFC Wimbledon and the home first home Ryman League fixture of the season against Hendon.
