Community Fun Day 24th April 2010

Sutton United Football Club in community partnership with the Metropolitan Police Sutton Safer Neighbourhood teams. Delivering the safer neighbourhood message to children in local schools across the borough through the fun of football.

Around 450 invited children and their parents from local schools enjoyed the warmest day of the year to take part in the end of season Community Partnership Fun Day swelling the crowd to 1014 the second largest of the season. PCSO Steve and Jenny the Giraffe were on hand to ensure the children enjoyed the day’s activities which included a mass penalty shoot out competition on the clubs famous pitch.

Along with the on pitch activities children enjoyed a number of free goodies such as face painting, sweets & drinks, balloons and plenty of other items to help them make lots of noise. Entertainment was provided by the Radio Marsden Outside broadcast unit which all helped make this the biggest and best Fun Day to date.

The winners of the Penalty competition receive their trophies from Club Chairman Bruce Elliot and Smith & Byford's Bill Smith at Half Time.
