Welcome 'Jenny' The Giraffe 

After extensive deliberation Club Mascot is named.

Thanks to the younger ones amongst you, for entering Kelly Little’s ‘Name the Giraffe’ competition. I am told that the voting panel worked long into the night to pick the winner and 'Jenny' was seen proudly wearing her name on her shirt at our match against Maidstone United. More details about Jenny the giraffe will appear shortly on her very own page where we are hoping she will reveal just how a young female giraffe just happened to wander into Gander Green Lane one morning?

Community Fun Day Date Announced

In partnership with the Metropolitan Safer Neighbourhood Teams.

5th March 2010

The final Community Fun Day of the season in association with the Metropolitan Safer neighbourhood teams will be held on Saturday 24th April 2010 at our final home league match of the season against Billericay Town. We are hoping for some nice Spring weather to help the festivities along which will include, penalty shoot out competitions, goodie bags, free match entry for the selected schools and PCSO Steve will be in attendance along with Sutton's very own Giraffe.

Women's and Girls Football Festival

Impressive turnout and Giraffe the mascot's debut

It was fun and football for girls down at Sutton Utd over the weekend of 13/14th February with the emphasis being on 'fun'. On the Saturday Sutton Utd allowed all females free entry to their home game v. Hastings Utd and pre-match entertainment included coaching by England and Arsenal footballer Faye White in the neighbouring Collingwood Recreation Ground. More...

It’s Ladies’ Days at Sutton United FC

Women's and Girls Football Festival

All budding women and girl footballers should be heading to Sutton United’s ground at Gander Green Lane on Saturday 13th and Collingwood Rec (next door to the ground) on Sunday 14th to take part in United’s first Women and Girls’ Football Festival.

Saturday is all about fun football games, coaching sessions and skills competitions with prizes, trophies and lots of goody bags. There is also free admission to watch Sutton’s vital league match against Hastings Whilst on Sunday there is a 5 a side tournament and girls’ cup match.

Football Returns to The Gambia

8 team tounament kicks off

The next local tournament is about to kick-off in the second week of February and SUFCG is one of the eight teams competing in preparation for the new season's Nawettan league. It has been along lay-off but the team has been training since December, claiming a few low-key friendly victories as well.

Sutton United Football Club announces a new partnership with

Sutton and Merton PCT

Season 2009/10

Sutton United Football Club has formally agreed with Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust (PCT) to work together in partnership to raise key issues in health within the local community.

Over the next 2 years Sutton United Football Club will work with the PCT to enhance their health campaigns. Within the agreement will be advertising at the ground, ticket promotions, use of players in the campaigns, different awareness days at the ground on certain match days, involvement in the club’s Football in the Community programme and other benefits.

Second community partnership Fun Day

Event a great success over 400 invited Children.

The club held its 2nd Community Fun Day in association with the Metropolitan Safer neighbourhood teams on Saturday 21st March 2009 at our home match against Boreham Wood. The event involving 9 local primary schools was attended by around 400 invited children swelling the attendance to the largest of the season. Blessed by some glorious early spring sunshine the children enjoyed the afternoon’s activities including a penalty shootout competition on the clubs famous pitch before enjoying the match.More...
