Ryman League Premier Division Champions, 2010/11

Latest News   Sutton v Folkestone preview
27th August 2010
Sutton will look to complete a good first week of the Ryman League campaign tomorrow when Folkestone Invicta visit Gander Green Lane for the first time. The Kent side regained their Premier Division place after a two year absence when they came through the Division One South playoffs at the end of last season, although they would have finished ahead of eventual champions Croydon Athletic but for a ten point deduction. Having lost to Croydon last Saturday, Folkestone picked up their first point of this season at Aveley on Monday. Manager Paul Doswell reports a fully fit squad, with Alan Bray having suffered no ill effects after playing the full 90 minutes on against Horsham on Tuesday, although Paul says: ''As we've got two games in three days over this weekend we're going to have to be careful we don't overdo it with him.'' Jason Goodliffe comes back in to contention after being rested on Tuesday. Paul also underlined how pleased he was with the support on Tuesday. ''The backing was superb on Tuesday and there was a really good noise coming from the terracing on the far side of the ground. I think there were more people over there because of those who have moved from in front of the stand because of the new dugouts, but it looked and sounded great and hopefully it will continue.''
