Sutton United put their midweek woes behind them to record an important 1-0 victory today in their Ryman League Premier Division match at Tonbridge Angels. The game was a great advert for the Isthmian League with the only mystery how it ended up with just the solitary goal in it. The decisive moment came early in the second half when Tonbridge failed to clear their lines after a free-kick and Leroy Griffiths blasted the ball low into the net. Kevin Scriven made two or three crucial saves but Lee Worgan was the busier of the two keepers and also made a string of fine saves.
