Former U's midfield player Jimmy Dack has been given the task of putting the smiles back on the faces at Gander Green Lane. He will take charge of the team for next week' s visit to Havant & Waterlooville and will help the club's Directors negotiate the final weeks of the season.
Dack was a member of United's side that won the Ryman League in 1999 and has extensive coaching experience in the Conference. Chairman Bruce Elliott commented, "We know Jim well and he knows us. He is passionate about Sutton United and we feel that at this time we need somebody who understands this club and its supporters. He has been offered the role on a caretaker basis but is obviously in prime position to make the job his own and clearly all parties hope that we can make this a permanent appointment in due course." |
