Sutton United recorded a 3-1 victory today in their FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round match at home to Billericay Town. After a goalless first-half Billy Dunn scored with his first touch just a couple of seconds after coming on as a substitute and then Dan Webb notched a debut goal. Billericay pulled one back with a fluked cross that sailed into the top corner before Gavin McCallum broke away three minutes from full-time to settle the outcome.
17 year-old Dunn celebrated a memorable fortnight by signing his first contract for the club after the game and Alan Bray also signed an extended deal.
We would also like to apologise for the emergency PA system today, as vandalism last night put the normal system out of use. Our thanks also go to all of the additional stewards who came forward at the 11th hour to help put the match on in safety.
