Sutton's youth team reached the final qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-0 win at Worthing this evening. Billy Dunn and Sonni James put U's two up at the break, and James added another in the second half with Jonny Humphreys also on target. Click here for a full report.
Sutton will be away to Woking in the 3rd qualifying round
A few thousand miles away, SUFC (Gambia) have drawn Old-Hands FC in the League Cup and the two play on Friday, 10th October 2008 at ´Feele Ba´. It promises to be an exciting fixture as Old-Hands consists of mainly aged & experienced players while Sutton on
the contrary are of the ´Arsenal type´ with the oldest registered player aged just 24yrs! Kick-off will be at 4:30pm.
In another development itś a homecoming tie for the Us in the league, Sutton have been drawn with Daranka FC (original birth
place of the club), in what promises to be a closely contested tie and will draw a lot of attention as the village gets divided with a little U´s
fan base still in Daranka after the head-quarters was moved to Lamin Village in 2007. The match day willbe announced at a later date as the league will be temporarily up-held until after the first round of the league cup. |
