Fresh from their 3-2 win at Dartford on Saturday, the U's play at home tonight against seemingly unstopable league leaders Dover Athletic. The Kent side lost on the opening day at Hornchurch but have since won their next 13 league games to sit comfortably at the head of the promotion race. Although the U's still lie down in 15th after Saturday's win, they are only 6 points away from the play-off places and have games in hand on most of the sides above them. Tonight, of course, will be United's biggest test to-date.
U's are likely to go into the game without influential skipper Chris Collins, who suffered a calf injury at Dartford as well as breaking his nose, and experienced central defender Simon Downer has been drafted into the squad as cover. Dover's leading scorer Frannie Collin may also miss the game because of injury.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm on Tuesday 18th November. |
