Latest News   Staines v Sutton preview - GAME ON
6th February 2009

If the recent winter weather relents sufficiently, Sutton will be involved in the most attractive fixture in tomorrow's Ryman League schedule when they visit Staines Town, currently second in the Premier Division table. Staines have an impressive home record this season, with runaway leaders Dover the only team to have prevented them winning in the league at Wheatsheaf Park this season, the Kent side's 3-2 win in November representing Staines' last league defeat. Staines report that the snow that fell earlier in the week has been left on the pitch to guard against frost, and provided that the area escapes the worst of the weather which is forecast for Friday they are hopeful of being able to clear the pitch early on Saturday, and advise that supporters should not give up on the game just yet. Saturday morning update - the pitch has been passed fit and the game goes ahead. If the game does go ahead, U's will be without the suspended Dean Palmer. Click here for travel details
