5-1 up from the first leg, Sutton's reserves clinched their place in the Suburban League Champions Cup final last night, Stefan Joseph's goal giving the a 1-0 win on the night against Corinthian Casuals and a 6-1 aggregate success. Alan Bray, Tim Bond and Billy Dunn all played a part after their recent injury layoffs, while Dean Palmer also played the first half. Click here for match report. The final is against Tooting & Mitcham over two legs, the first at Tooting next Wednesday and the second at Gander Green Lane the following Tuesday. Coincidentally, the reserves are also due to play Tooting at Imperial Fields this Saturday in a league game.
Meanwhile in a change of fixture for the youth team they will now be at home to Colliers Wood next Monday in a Southern Youth League game, with the League Cup quarter final away to Raynes Park Vale going back to the following Monday, 30 March. |
