An excellent early goal by Joseph, cutting in from the wing, was soon added to by an even better team goal finished by Payne before the visitors missed a penalty. A Shave own goal made it 3-0 at the interval and Payne then added a fourth after good work by Gargan. Hornchurch grabbed their consolation a minute from the end. Midfielder Bentley Graham has been released. Bentley spent much of the pre-season training with Brentford but has been told by Paul Doswell that his first team opportunities here will be limited and that he is free to find another club. We'd like to wish Bentley good luck and thank him not only for his efforts this season and last but also for his significant contribution at youth team level.
