| With cup football very much to the fore at present, there is nevertheless a full Ryman League programme tomorrow in which Sutton visit Aveley for the first ever league meeting between the side (click here for travel details). Aveley won promotion last season as champions of Division One North after a thrilling last day victory at East Thurrock, and they have made the best start of the newly promoted sides, albeit like most clubs lacking any real consistency, with eye-catching results like the 4-0 home win against Carshalton and the 6-1 win at Kingstonian balanced by heavy defeats at home to Margate and away to Hendon, but they have also won at Tooting and Hastings, and on Wednesday joined U's in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup with a replay win over Burnham earning a trip to Hampton & Richmond Borough next week. Matt Hann, who missed last week's FA Cup tie against Uxbridge as he was at a wedding, is available again as are Stefan Cox and Billy Chattaway, who were both cup-tied. |
