Sutton have signed midfielder Steve Perkins, who began this season with Welling United having featured in Hayes & Yeading's promotion from Blue Square South last season. The 33-year-old, who has signed a contract, has played at Conference level for Stevenage, Woking, Dagenham and Ebbsfleet. There was more good news for manager Paul Doswell as striker Jerson Dos Santos, who appeared in the first team as a 16-year-old two seasons ago after scoring prolifically at reserve and youth level and who returned with two goals for the reserves at Wealdstone last month, has also signed a contract. Both Perkins and Dos Santos are eligible for Saturday's FA Cup tie at home to Walton & Hersham.
