| After the postponement of Saturday's game at home to Ashford Town (Middlesex), two relatively dry days mean that Sutton should return to action in the Ryman League tonight away to Maidstone United, a gamethat will be played at Ashford Town's Homelands ground in Kent, the ground that Maidstone have been using this season since the ending of their arrangement to play home games at Sittingbourne. U's will hope that a change of venue brings a change of luck, as the trip to Sittingbourne last season saw miserable weather and a game that wasn't much better, Ian Selley's first half penalty giving Stones the points. They have found life hard in their new surroundings, with just one win in their six home league games, that success coming against Aveley in September, and Saturday's defeat left them one place behind Sutton in the league table on goal difference having played two games more. |
