Sutton United and Paul Doswell are delighted to announce that they have reached an agreement to extend Paul's commitment to the club by a further two seasons. U's manager took over in May 2008 under an agreement that was due to expire at the end of this season, but it has now been confirmed that the arrangement has been extended to the end of the 2011-2012 season.
Club chariman Bruce Elliott said: ''We were aware that the agreement had originally been to the end of this season and we were keen to sort things out quickly so that there was no uncertainty both from the point of view of the club and also Paul and his staff, and we're delighted to have reached the agreement with someone who has done a great deal for us in his time here.''
Paul Doswell commented: ''Everyone knows that my initial goal when I came here was to get the club back in to the Conference South and that's something that I'd like to achieve. There's been lots achieved already but I think we're still at the beginning of the journey. The agreement covers all the backroom staff as well, which is great for me as they're all a huge part of this club, and I'm very pleased to be able to commit this time to the club for the next two and a half years.
