Following a 6pm pitch inspection the game has been postponed
Having seen the sides in second and third place in the Ryman League table lose on Bank Holiday Monday, Sutton, in sixth place after the Boxing Day win over Carshalton, will be looking to take closer order at the top of the table when they play Cray Wanderers in a league game for the first time. The sides did meet last season at Gander Green Lane in the FA Cup, U's winning 3-1, but Cray finished the season earning promotion through the playoffs, and will come in to Tuesday's game boosted by a draw at leaders Dartford on Saturday, although in home games, which have mainly been played at Bromley's Hayes Lane ground, the venue for Tuesday's game, they have struggled somewhat with just two wins in eleven games, and this home form has made it difficult for them to climb away from the lower reaches of the table. Billy Hawes is available for Sutton again after suspension, while manager Paul Doswell reported after Saturday's game that both Charlie Taylor (shoulder) and Alan Pouton (knee) could be struggling to be fit after being forced off on Saturday by injury. Heavy rain is forecast for most of Tuesday, so if necessary we will update this website later with any news of the prospects for the game.
