|Having seen Kingstonian move back in to second place last night with a win over Ashford, Sutton can reclaim that spot this evening with victory at Margate (travel details on the 'away travel' page of the 'fans' section). Unbeaten in their last ten league games, U's are top of the current form table based on the last six games and the Kent side near the bottom, and when ten days ago a 3-0 home defeat by Waltham Abbey saw them sink to the foot of the league table Margate's prospects looked bleak. However two consecutive victories at home to Tooting and away to Billericay have lifted them off the bottom, and with new signings including James Pinnock, signed recently from Maidstone, and the experienced Leroy Huggins, who has scored in both his games in Margate colours, they will be hopeful of climbing away from trouble. Margate will also be out to atone for their 4-0 hammering at Gander Green Lane on the first day of the season, and their FA Cup exit a month later when they led 2-0 in the first game at Hartsdown Park before U's came back to force a draw, and then led 2-1 going in to the last minute of the replay before a controversial Danny Phillips equaliser forced extra time in which Sonny Cobbs hit the winner. Jason Goodliffe is a doubt for U's tonight with a thigh injury but Alan Pouton could return to the line-up, while Margate are without the injured Wayne Wilson and the suspended Curtis Robinson.
