Latest News   Sutton v Hendon preview
26th March 2010
Sutton have signed midfielder Craig Dobson from Farnborough, and he will go in to the squad for tomorrow's Ryman League game at home to Hendon. The 26-year-old, who began his career as a youth player with Crystal Palace, joined Farnborough in January having begun this season with Mansfield, and has also played for Cambridge City and Stevenage, for whom he scored in the 2007 FA Trophy final at Wembley, as well as brief spells with Cheltenham, Barnet and MK Dons. Like Sutton, Hendon were due to have a game on Thursday this week, but their home Ryman League game against Carshalton also fell victim to the weather, so they remained in 13th place, nine points clear of the relegation zone and, in what is still a congested mid-table area, only eight points short of the play-off zone with games in hand over most of the sides above them. Gavin McCallum's penalty decided this game last season, while Sam Gargan's late strike, his second of the game, earned U's the points at Vale Farm in August. Gargan is one of several players to have picked up knocks in Tuesday's game against Harrow and who may require a late test before tomorrow's game.
