A youthful Beaconsfield side with an average age of around 17 was put to the sword as Sutton turned on the style in this Suburban League game. The signs were there from the start when Chris Beard had a headed goal ruled out for offside after just two minutes, and it took only a further five minutes for U’s to take the lead, Jerson Dos Santos put through on the right and squaring the ball past the advancing goalkeeper for Daniel Harding to shoot in to the empty net. The visiting keeper, who was to have a busy afternoon and emerged with credit despite the overwhelming scoreline, then saved from Dos Santos  but was helpless to deny U’s striker when he next broke clear and chipped the ball neatly in to the net. Dos Santos then turned provider again with a cross that was volleyed in by Andre Costa, and a minute later Beard headed in Kavanagh’s corner. After the keeper had saved well from Elliot Mitchell, Harding scored his second when he linked with Dos Santos and chipped the ball against the post before scrambling in the rebound. Gold saw a header tipped over before the break, and the second half provided no let up for the visitors as Costa finished off a good move involving Gold and Stuart Young. Substitute Jack Mesure missed an open goal after a great run by Harding, but then Dos Santos clipped in a superb shot off the underside of the bar from the edge of the penalty area, and then completed his hat trick with a fine individual effort. Stefan Joseph came on and scored with his first touch, a low angled shot, and Mesure made up for his earlier miss by taking U’s in to double figures with a well placed half volley from inside the penalty area.
