A racing start set the foundation for a hugely impressive win for Sutton United, as Gander Green Lane was treated to a thrilling contest. The U’s totally overshadowed their visitors in the early stages after Paul Doswell made three changes to the side he lambasted for their slow start in the loss at Canvey Island last week. This certainly had the desired effect, as this time they started the match full of ideas and dripping with intent.
It was a dazzling solo effort from summer-signing Anthony Joseph that set them on their way. The winger picked up the ball on the right flank, danced past four Urchin men on his way into the box, and poked under the grasp of Darren Behcet.
