Sutton travelled to Chesham United's ground to take on their Southern League lodgers Aylesbury United in the 4th Qualifying round. With the Ducks form looking impressive with just one defeat in their previous 12 games U's were expecting a difficult tie, but in truth Aylesbury failed to live up to expectations with there best chance not coming until the 4th minute of injury time producing a fine save from Nicholls in the Sutton goal. Sutton gained the upper hand in this contest early on but a mixture of bad finishing and inspired goal keeping kept the scores level until half time. Its was looking like a frustrating afternoon for U's with the ever industrious McCallum being denied twice when through on goal and Hann putting his shot just wide. However on 67mins Matt Hann produced the moment of the game (some say the season) when took possession in midfield and appeared to skip past the entire ducks defence before finishing cooly and booking Sutton's first round place.
