Following the recent appointments of former players Ricky Wellard and Damian Scannell to the Academy coaching staff, former Aldershot academy coach Alan Tate, a lifelong Sutton supporter, has been added to the staff as a Head Coach. The academy, set up in conjunction with NESCOT, will be running four teams this season, including two in the National League Under 19 Alliance, and saw one of their number from last season, Fred Hill, feature in last night's friendly against Tonbridge.
