Ladies' Day

4 December 2017

Saturday saw the 2017 ladies day event at the Knights CommunityStadium. The day got underway with some 6-a-side games involving our under 11s, 12s, 13s and 16s. It was great to see so many of the players involved. We were fortunate to see some great football by the girls and they all had a lot of fun mixing with the 1st team.Seb Brown Faces The Penalty Shoot-OutSeb Brown was on hand for the penalty competition and he faced the eager under 13s and 16s with young Isabella representing the U8s. She was a master from the penalty spot and sent Seb the wrong way to claim 1st place. The younger age groups took on Treajure, the u12s' goalkeeper, and the winner was a very proud Charlotte.Next the girls demonstrated some real skills on the ball with a kick-ups challenge. The winners were delighted to receive their prizes and special mention must go to Hannah from the U16s on a sensational 98 kick-ups! The morning finished with the girls joining the 1st team for some 9-a-side games on 3 pitches.Sutton United Ladies' Day - Players and CoachesWe were honoured to have special guest and Sutton legend Micky Joyce at the event accompanied by Pat Carr (Sutton director and lifelong fan) and Shan Sullivan, whose father was a former club Chairman, to present the prizes and show their support for the ladies' teams.
