Sutton United's new signing

24 February 2017

Sutton have today completed the signing of 25-year-old striker Adam Coombes from Welling United.

A former Chelsea academy player  who has represented England at Under 16 and Under 17 level, Adam also played for Notts County and Bromley before joining Welling at the start of this season, and scored 29 goals in 24 games in all competitions up to the beginning of January, including a double hat trick against Swindon Supermarine in the FA Cup.

Adam will wear squad number 30 and goes in to the reckoning for tomorrow's game at Torquay, currently a point behind Sutton in the table having played three games more.

U's recorded an impressive victory at Gander Green Lane in August, goals from Maxime Biamou and Nicky Bailey securing a 2-0 win that was more convincing than the scoreline suggests, and will look for a repeat tomorrow as they concentrate on the league again.

Admission to the away terrace tomorrow is £15, with concessions at £12 and Under 18s £7. Under 7s are admitted free with a paying adult.

Seat prices are £19 for adults, £15 for concessions and £7 for Under 18s.

Torquay's Plainmoor Ground is in Warbro Road, TQ1 3PS, and the away turnstiles are just off Warbro Road, along the lane next to the Gulls Lodge.

Sutton will be in all white with red trim.
