Sutton 5-1 North Ferriby - report and reaction

25 March 2017

Sutton recorded their biggest Vanarama National League win of the season today and pushed North Ferriby closer to an immediate return to the North Division. After the visitors had made the better start Roarie Deacon put U's ahead with a first time finish from Kevin Amankwaah's cross, and Jamie Collins added a second with a volley from a half cleared free kick. Max Biamou rounded off a fine move with a simple finish to send U's in with a 3-0 half time lead, and although they took a while to get going in the second half as Robbie Tinkler pulled a goal back and Ben Middleton came close to a second, Sutton re-established control as Biamou put Kieron Cadogan through to score, and Cadogan was on target again with seven minutes to go with a low 25-yard effort through a crowded penalty area. Full report, with photos, here and Paul Doswell's reaction here.
