Sutton and Ebbsfleet failed to produce a goal at the Knights Community Stadium in a game where defences were on top throughout. The visitors' best chance came in the first minute when Jamie Butler had to make a point blank save from Luke Coulson, but the more the game went on the more Sutton looked the likelier to score, particularly in the second half when Kenny Davis had a shot cleared off the line and Louis John just failed to convert a cross from substitute Aswad Thomas.
