Our own Jenny the Giraffe has the honour of switching on the Sutton Shopping area Christmas lights this year. Along with the Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Jean Crossby, Jenny will be on hand to perform the big light up at 6.00pm on Saturday 18th November. There is free family entertainment from 12 noon and Radio Jackie will be keeping everybody in the Christmas spirit. It would great after the Halifax game to see as many fans as possible supporting Jenny as she lights up the town.
Chairman of Sutton United F.C. Bruce Elliott commented “It's great for the club but more importantly it is a great acknowledgement for the charity work that Jenny does throughout the year. She has become a real local celebrity.”
