Two goals in the space of a minute just before half time put Sutton in control of this afternoon's game and they were able to hold off a strong finish from a Fylde side reduced to ten men when Lewis Montrose was sent off midway through the second half. Craig Dundas gave U's the lead, with the second goal a Simon Grand own goal after some superb wing play from Josh Taylor. Grand scored for his own team with five minutes left, and Jamie Butler had to make a terrific save from Danny Rowe immediately afterwards as U's held on for the points. Full report here.
