The mood in the Players' Bar, which was packed to the rafters after U's third festive win in a row, was a jubilant one after yesterday's 2-1 win v Aldershot Town.
It was also the second of two Christmas Strikers are Key draws which were conducted before a loud and vocal crowd in full celebration mode!
The first draw of the day, for a 2019/20 Season Ticket, was won by Tony Marsh ( Bobby's M8s) whose ball number 5 was the first to be picked.
It was then second time lucky for the owners of the “ Lucky 13” syndicate - Mark Donohue, Sarah Aitchison, Andy K, Mark Bravery and Brett Munslow. Having had their ball 13 pulled out of the purple velvet bag in draw 10, lightning struck twice yesterday and this time Mark managed to open the safe which was obviously also in benevolent and celebratory mood, doubtless brought on by nine points earned from three Festive fixtures! The syndicate earned an extra £50 after a first Sutton goal for Brett Williams (above) v the Shots bringing their winnings up to £250. Congratulations to them!
