Academy update

29 January 2018

Sutton's Under 21s suffered a second Suburban League defeat of the season on Friday, but there was little disgrace in the 3-2 home defeat against Chatham Town, who, without a game in the Southern Counties East League at the weekend, fielded their first team at the Knights Community Stadium and went three up inside the first hour. Two penalties from Arif Hattabi brought U's back in to the game, but the equaliser proved elusive. However manager Marvin Williams was delighted with a performance that matched Chatham's first team for long spells of a well contested game. U's are still three points clear of Molesey, with a game in hand, but are now without a league game until visiting Tooting on February 17th.

There is academy action this week, however, with a home game against Romford on Wednesday (kick off 2pm) in the 4th round of the National League Under 19 Alliance League Cup.
