At the heart of the community

12 March 2018

Sutton United was 120 years old on 5th March and the occasion was marked on Saturday with a special lunch attended by many legends of the club. Also invited to join in the celebrations and pictured above were representatives from the Men's and Ladies' First Teams, the Community Teams, the Junior Ladies' Teams, the Boys' Elite Development Section and the Walking Football Section. Below are members of Sutton Schools F.A. representing the primary schools in Sutton, who currently play all their League and Cup Competitions at the Knights Community Stadium.

Tony Henderson-Smith, one of the coordinators of the Ladies and Girls section commented: "It was a fantastic day. We had players present who starred for the first team more than fifty years ago, who played at Wembley Stadium, more recent stars, club legends and many of the players who now represent the club across all age groups and abilities. There has never been a more exciting time at here at Sutton United."
