W.T. STORM TO GOLF SUCCESS
Eighty rain-soaked golfers competed in the annual SUFC Charity Golf Day at Banstead Downs GC on Thursday 29 March. Team winners were Gary Waterman's W.T. INTERIORS (91 points) with INDULGE, led by Steve Rogers, a point further back in 2nd Place. Sid Taylor won the Individual Prize (40 points) ahead of Richard Lawrence and Mick Marshall (both 39 points). Richard securing the Runner-Up spot on countback. Dan Tully hit the Longest Drive on the 9thand Chris Fairhead was Nearest the Pin on 17. Special guests included Maria Tulley (PGA Professional Golfer), John Salako (Crystal Palace and England), Ron ‘Chopper' Harris (Chelsea), Gary Chivers (Chelsea & Brighton) and Micky Joyce (Sutton United). Sutton United's Steve King attended the Prizegiving Meal and thanked all involved in raising £1,230 for the SUFC Adult Disability Teams.WT Interiors with Ron "Chopper" Harris and Gary Chivers.
