Sutton United

Sutton have been drawn away to Chertsey Town in the second round of this season's Specsavers Surrey Senior Cup. The clubs were Isthmian League rivals in the mid 1990s, but haven't met in the County Cup since December 1989 when U's won 3-2 at Chertsey's Alwyns Lane ground. Chertsey have enjoyed a fine season so far in the Combined Counties League and are currently four points clear of second placed Sutton Common Rovers, having lost just one of their fifteen league games. The tie is scheduled for the middle of January.
