U's face Stones in FA Cup

8 October 2018

Sutton will be away to Wealdstone in the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday 20 October. The Stones are currently 7th in Vanarama National League South and on Saturday won 2-1 at Hungerford, manager Bobby Wilkinson successful against the side he left to join Wealdstone last season, when they reached the semi finals of the FA Trophy. U's will renew acquaintances with Jeffrey Monakana and Bradley Hudson-Odoi, while strikers Bradley Bubb and David Pratt have a record of doing well against Sutton for previous clubs. Sutton's last visit to Grosvenor Vale was during the run-in to the 2015-16 championship success, Louis John and Bedsente Gomis scoring in a 2-0 win, while in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round the sides met in October 1982, Wealdstone, then in the top flight of non-league football, winning 3-1 against Isthmian League Sutton, for whom Mark Golley scored.

The Under 18s, meanwhile, have been drawn away to Bognor Regis Town in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup following their 3-1 win against Whyteleafe on Friday. The tie will be played some time next week, we will confirm exact details when we know them.
