Sutton suffered a heavy home defeat at the hands of Boreham Wood, who moved above U's on goal difference in to 7th place in the National League table. Angelo Balanta and Kieron Murtagh scored inside the first six minutes and although Sutton missed two glorious chances in the next ten minutes, the pacy Justin Shaibu made it 3-0 and any hope of a second half comeback was ended by substitute Josh Uimerah.
