A packed and understandably very ebullient Players' Bar greeted the double “ Yorkshire Strikers are Key draw” which was made after the terrific 3-1 win v Harrogate Town.
The draws were conducted by a very happy Tommy Wright whose two superb goals earlier in the day had lit up Gander Green Lane.
The first ball out was ball 3 owned by the syndicate “Another Goal Missed” comprising Neil Robinson, Paul Lane, Russell Miller, David Smart, Kevin Holton and Harry Halford. Unfortunately, the guys weren't able to choose the right key and had to make do with the £50 consolation prize.
Better luck befell the owners of ball 4, next out of the purple velvet bag and owned by Paul, Tim and Janice Loughlin. With the coffers swelled to £550 courtesy of Tommy's three goals in the past week against Dagenham and Harrogate, our super club photographer, Paul stepped up to the SAK stage and promptly opened the safe. Congratulations to the Loughlin family!
Onwards we go to Wrexham on 21st Dec.
