Defender Louis John has returned to Gander Green Lane from Cambridge United on loan until January 18th. Originally a member of our youth and reserve teams before joining Crawley, 25-year-old Louis rejoined us on a permanent basis in 2014 and went on to make 117 appearances, scoring six goals (above, being congratulated after a spectacular goal at Chester) and being capped twice at England C level, before moving at the start of last season to Cambridge United, for whom he has made around 30 appearances.
Manager Matt Gray is delighted to welcome Louis back to the club. ''Louis is a versatile defender and knows the club well. He was very highly regarded in his previous spell with us and I'm very pleased to get him back on board.''
Louis will take the squad number 2.
