Sutton's hopes of a run in the FA Youth Cup were ended last night with a 3-2 home defeat by Croydon. U's led 1-0 through Aidan Lopeman before going 2-1 behind, and after Declan Frith had tied things up at 2-2 it was the visitors who grabbed the decisive goal to earn a home first round tie against Aveley, who beat Bromley on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
