It's amazing how quickly nature takes back control when there are no people around. Even after just a few weeks with no activity not only were the usual summer weeds thriving on the terraces, we even had tree saplings starting to grow up through the 3G, fortunately only around the outside but without any action it would have soon been affecting the actual playing surface.
So, many thanks to all of the volunteers who came forward to get rid of all of the weeds and are continuing with tidying the terracing. This includes:- the Liddiard Family, Heidi, Chris, Graeme, Tom, Ryan, Johnnie, Harry, Ray, Mark and friends, Ray Illingworth and his wife and, last but not least, Shan Hermitage who not only worked as hard as anyone but also coordinated all of the work and made sure everyone maintained a social distance.
