Tom Bolarinwa leaves U's

30 June 2020

Winger Tom Bolarinwa has left Sutton United after his contract expired at the end of June. Tom joined us in 2015 and was a key member of the squad that won the Vanarama National League South title the following season, his exciting wing play making him a crowd favourite, and his form earned him a move to Grimsby Town.

He returned midway through the 2017-18 season and was again influential as U's achieved a highest-ever league placing of third in the National League, including scoring the club's goal of the season in the 1-0 win at Ebbsfleet (above). In all Tom made 155 appearances for the club and scored 24 goals. Club chairman Bruce Elliott said: ''Tom has made a major contribution to the club's success over the past few seasons, and has provided the supporters with some great moments. He leaves the club with our thanks and every good wish for the future.''
