Goalkeepers Dean Bouzanis and Brad House have both signed contracts to stay at Sutton next season in the latest batch of players to commit to the club in the EFL. Dean was ever present in the side last season, his first with the club, keeping 18 clean sheets in the National League, while former West Brom keeper Brad spent much of the season on dual-registration with Horsham before being named on the substitutes' bench during U's run in to the title. Manager Matt Gray said: ''Brad did well at Horsham and was putting pressure on Dean for his place towards the end of the season, so I'm delighted that he has committed himself to us for this season.''
The regular defence that played a major part in those clean sheets will also be in action again this season with Jon Barden signing a new contract and Louis John signing an extension to his existing deal, while striker Tobi Sho-Silva has moved on to Football League forms as part of his existing deal.
The players return for pre-season training on Thursday, and we hope to announce additions to the squad during the course of the day.
With the vast majority of the title winning squad retained and several additions on the brink of being finalised, there is real excitement looking forward to the start of the season, and if you haven't yet bought your season ticket to enjoy our first EFL campaign at Gander Green Lane then a reminder that today is the last day for Early Bird purchases - prices will go up from tomorrow.
