House of Stand Up Comes to Sutton

8 December 2022

We're delighted to welcome the House of Stand Up to Sutton United in 2023, as we restart our comedy evenings that have been so popular in the past.

On Thursday 26 January we will be welcoming a great line-up headed by Lee Hurst, best known for his appearances as a captain in the long running Sports Comedy show 'They Think It's All Over' and the creator of the Channel Five series 'Bring Me The Head of Light Entertainment', which ran for five series between 1997 and 2001.

Supporting Lee will be 2022 Britain's Got Talent semi finalist Stefano Paolini; Andrew Mensah, the host of BT Sport’s hit show ‘What I Wore’ where he interviews footballer’s based on their lives and careers, and Ingrid Dahle, who has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival and the Brighton Comedy Festival.  Jeremy O'Donnell, who has written for radio and TV comedy shows, and appeared as venues such as the Comedy Club, will be acting as MC.

Doors open at 7.00pm with the comedy starting at 8.00pm. Tickets cost £15, but there are group savings for parties of four or six who book in advance.
