We're delighted to announce the opening of the Sutton United fan zone at this weekend's first EFL League Two fixture against Newport County.
Situated at the Gander Green Lane end of the car park, the outdoor fan zone will allow Sutton supporters to come together and enjoy a drink, with draught beer, lager and cider, and good food in a convivial atmosphere in the build-up to the 3pm kick off. The fan zone will open at 12 noon.
There is a similar facility for Newport supporters which is situated in the concourse behind the visitors' terrace and which will open at 1.30pm.
The construction of the fan zone has had an impact on the number of spaces available in our car park, and once spaces have been allocated to players, officials, guests, media, medical teams and away team officers on match day, there are a very limited number of spaces left. However, we have been working very hard to ensure that all current car park permit holders can be accommodated on Saturday, albeit cars may not be parked in the "usual" places and we would stress early arrival is absolutely essential as the car park will be closed from 2pm. Please ensure you display your car park pass for the stewards.
Furthermore, we would urge you to park elsewhere if you need to leave the stadium immediately after the final whistle as there will inevitably be congestion in the area. NB If you do not hold a current car park pass please do not try to enter the car park as there will be no space available for you to park. An announcement about car parking arrangements for future matches will be made as soon as we are able to do so.
The weather is set fair on Saturday so why not come on down nice and early, experience everything the new fan zone area has to offer and catch up with friends before the game?
