There may be no first team game, but there is still plenty going on for the football fan at the VBS Community Stadium this weekend.
The entertainment begins on Friday evening, when the Players' Bar will be open for the World Cup game between England and USA, with Gareth Southgate's team looking to build on Monday's scintillating performance against Iran. Kick off is at 7pm, with the bar open at 6.30, so come along and watch the game while enjoying a drink.
On Saturday morning our Academy side have an EFL Youth Alliance game against Luton Town, kick off 11am. Admission is free, and it would be great to have support for our youngsters, who performed so well at Merstham last week in the Surrey Senior Cup but who face a tough test against the current divisional leaders, with Luton having won all ten of their league games this season.
The following day our women's team take centre stage with a game against Aylesford, who currently prop up the Premier Division of the London & South East Regional Women's League still looking for their first point. Kick off is at 2pm, and admission is again free as we look for a third consecutive league win.
AND FOR THE MUSIC LOVER
We have our usual Friday night Boom Boom entertainment in the MBA Lounge, with a Guitar Legends show including the music of, among others, Jimi Hendrix, Santana and Eric Clapton. Admission is £13 in advance, £15 on the door, and further details are here.
